Mountain District Learning Centre

Course Guide

Designing Mountain District Learning Centre’s course guide for more than 10 years—connecting the community with programs through a trusted, tangible resource.
Three course guide booklets for Mountain District Learning Centre, each with a cover image featuring garden plants or flowers, are displayed on a light green background.

We’ve been designing Mountain District Learning Centre’s course guide for over a decade. Even as marketing shifts increasingly digital, physical course guides remain essential for neighbourhood houses—offering accessibility, trust and lasting presence that digital channels can’t always replicate.

Why Physical Course Guides Still Matter

We designed a website with accessibility at its core—clear navigation, thoughtful hierarchy and an improved user experience that aligned with Longbeach’s brand. We integrated Social Planet to enable seamless online booking, making it simpler for community members to enrol in programs and activities.

Accessible and familiar

A printed guide is easy to read, share and refer back to—no login, no screen, no barriers.

Trusted and credible

A physical publication feels official and considered. It builds confidence in the programs and the organisation behind them.

Visible and enduring

A course guide stays on the kitchen table, gets passed to a neighbour, and remains present in a way that emails and social posts don’t. It’s a reminder that keeps the neighbourhood house front of mind.

A well-designed printed guide gives neighbourhood houses a trusted, low-barrier connection to the community—something residents can hold onto, revisit, and pass along.
